Windows Networking - Alabama

print this article

The office network is the source not only of business opportunities and product breakthroughs, but also a steady stream of frustration for busy professionals who choose to specialize in fields other than computers. It is not unreasonable for such professionals to want to spend their most productive hours working on their specialties, and not on fixing computers or managing the network. Yet ensuring smooth operation of the office network for optimal cost is also a challenge for management.

On the one hand, sometimes, the network runs perfectly smoothly, requiring little help. On the other hand, machines break down occasionally, and someone needs to be ready to fix them ASAP, to ensure effective use of professional time. The optimization issue is that for many networks, a full time systems administrator is overkill (too much), and part-time systems administrators are either hard to find, or unreliable. Students, while less expensive, are liable to return to school at awkward times, leaving the network in a constant lurch.

Maintenance of the office network is also a source of liability. Many professional firms already assume varying levels of contractual liability for their professional activities, which is fair since the skilled staff are well equipped to handle the kinds of responsibilities that they have been contracted to fulfil. But often the management of computer networks falls outside of the interests of internal resources who are skilled in other areas. If a computer problem causes large amounts of work stoppage, or significant data loss leading to legal claims, the professional firm that employs internal resources to manage the network could be held liable, even if the problem was due to the network.

Transparen addresses the above-noted issues with several support contract options.

  • An emergency service contract ensures that computers and/or essential network services will be brought back online with the minimum of delay.
  • A technical support contract provides for new computer installations, general maintenance, etc.

There are many great reasons to work with Transparen:

  • Transparen is a stable long-term windows technical support business, with a special interest in Linux and open-source software solutions.
  • Not only are we here for the long-term, but we also provide contract terms to fit any size of business, even if there are only 2-3 computers.
  • By working with Transparen, you outsource both the extra work of maintaining the office network, as well as the potential liability.
  • There is a strong performance incentive for Transparen to ensure smooth operation of your office network, leading to a win-win situation. The fewer problems with the network, the less often Transparen needs to provide technical support, the more money we make. The fewer problems with the network, the more money client firms make as well. Win-win. Our performance incentive ensures that we take a few extra steps that would not be appropriate for one-off support calls, but which we know will pay off in the long run.
  • Transparen specializes in network support and computer-related consulting. We are skilled professional consultants who constantly upgrade our skills to serve our clients better.
  • Our Values
